Melinda Mehling is studying Power and Process Engineering at TU Berlin. Alongside, she is gaining work experience as a counsellor during youth trips and as a receptionist at a medical practice. Furthermore, she completed an internship in a sheet metal forming company in Berlin and a sanitary and heating engineering company in Freiburg im Breisgau.

Since April 2009, she has been an active member of the study group "suj TU Berlin". She has also become involved in the TU project "Blue Engineer" after hearing a presentation at the suj Congress in Düsseldorf in Mai 2009.
