Walter Kahlenborn is co-founder and managing director of Adelphi Research and Adelphi Consult. He is an internationally recognized expert in various areas of environment policy consulting. Among other things, his areas of specialization are environmental issues and financial services, water management, waste management, environmental technology transfer and environment and tourism.

Before founding Adelphi Research and Adelphi Consult, Mr. Kahlenborn worked in a number of other research organisations and led numerous national and international research projects. Mr. Kahlenborn published half a dozen books on various environmental policy issues. He is founder and Vice President of the German Sustainable Investment Forum, a professional association active in German-speaking countries and was vice chairman of EUROSIF (European Sustainable Investment Forum) for several years. 

Statement

How to best combine sustainability and innovation is often discussed in politics and economy. However, cross references between both topics have only been explored insufficiently. Furthermore, they are often unsystematically or not systematically entwined in the political and entrepreneurial practice and thus stand loose next to each other.
